The Piedmont Triad Chapter of the
National Black MBA Association Inc.

As we embark upon another year of strategic programmatic development and execution in the Piedmont Triad region of North Carolina. We pay close attention to growing our membership, corporate/educational partners, and key stack holders. We will continue to execute our strategic plan, while adding value to our members and partners. As a result of everyone’s contribution both locally and nationally, we look forward to becoming the premier chapter for excellence through progression in 2011. The chapter is proud to celebrate another year of providing professional development, community service, scholarships, and consultative services in Central North Carolina.

Chapter 2011 Strategic plan:
  • Meet our corporate partners and members needs
  • Award approximately $4,000 in scholarships
  • Enhance our professional development series
  • Engage our corporate partners in attracting, retaining, and developing minority talent
  • Implement a Career Placement Portal
  • Fund several community youth programs
  •  
    Engage civic leaders in developing and enriching minority communities
  • Partner with several professional organizations to continue delivering networking opportunities
  • Rollout our Leaders of Tomorrow Youth mentoring program
  • Become the number one go to minority serving organization in Central North Carolina
  • Grow our membership by 100%
  • Have Fun

 

Brief descriptions of programs offered in 2011:

  • Financial Empowerment Workshop (NBMBAA members only) - For NBMBAA members,  who are interested in

              learning more about strategic investment opportunities (stock market, hedge funds, real estate, etc.).

  • Executive Leadership Training - (For executives only) - NBMBAA Lifetime members, and invited guests, who are

              interested in learning more about executive networking and professional branding.

  • Professional Mentoring - (NBMBAA financial members) - This program will connect members with key

              partners in the community (civic, corporate, education, or entrepreneurs) to continue knowledge sharing

              opportunities for growth and prosperity.

  • Speakers Bureau- We will continue to provide speakers series for civic, community, corporate, and educational

              partners.

(All programs are open to the community at large unless otherwise specified)
